2016 American Catholic Press Benefit The American Catholic Press (ACP) benefit is held December 2, 2016, Friday evening. The venue for this benefit is the Flossmoor Country Club in Flossmoor, Illinois. Driving Directions are available online. The reception begins at 6 p.m.; dinner is at 7 p.m.
The dinner begins with the hymn, Lord of All Life. (This hymn is available in both the Leaflet Missal prayerbook and the American Catholic Hymnbook.)
Father Francis J. Hoffman, known as 'Father Rocky,' is the Executive Director of Relevant Radio. This nonprofit organization broadcasts on 64 stations in 30 states. The listening audience is approximately 68 million. The Relevant Radio app is the most popular radio app, with 250,000 downloads in 192 countries. Through social media platforms, the audience is 15 million, for the weekly Relevant Radio programs. Father Hoffman is the 2016 recipient of the Gratiam Dei ("grace of God") Award, the highest honor conferred by American Catholic Press. Dr. Robert C. Lawler is the 2016 recipient of the Henry Hyde Award, conferred by American Catholic Press. This award is named after the late Henry Hyde, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. Chairman Hyde was an indefatigable defender of human life, in all its stages. Dr. Lawler is a board certified OB/GYN. Since 1993, he has been in private practice in Downers Grove, Illinois. He is a Knight of Malta. He is also member of the Catholic Medical Association and the Catholic Physicians Guild. Why? Who? What?
