On Sunday morning, the people of San Rocco discovered an electrical fire had swept through their oratory, destroying a four foot statue of St. Rocco and causing extensive smoke damage.

Though a thick layer of soot covers the entire interior of the building, Paul Grossi of Giersten Restoration Company says the church is structually sound.
